Selection

The Certification process begins with a review of the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experiences, as well as the company’s desired involvement with process management and improvement. Next, a process improvement project will be selected for the candidate to facilitate. This step involves agreement from the management team on which business process to improve. Typically, an excellent choice is a process critical to the execution of the company’s strategy.

  • ePIP: Implementation and Change Management (Phase 3 facilitation)
  • Performance Metrics (Phase 4)

These sessions utilize practical case studies so candidates can learn how to apply the Rummler-Brache tools and concepts to projects.

Evaluation

The RBG performance consultant will evaluate the project work products and provide constructive feedback. A test will be administered to assess the candidate’s knowledge of the concepts, tools, and application techniques. The results of the project evaluation and test are used to prepare an Individual Development Plan which outlines the areas and capabilities that need further development. The evaluation areas include:

  • Grasp of Concepts/Tools/Techniques
  • Analysis and Design Ability
  • Facilitation Ability
  • Presentation Ability
  • Administrative Management
  • Focus on Results

The candidate will then receive a Tentative Certification Recommendation that indicates whether the candidate will be certified or requires additional assistance.
